It’s a good thing you got your ticket early…

BC’s largest tech event is officially sold out! We look forward to seeing everyone at the #BCTECH Summit on March 14 & 15.

Here are the top 10 things you need to know before you go!

1. Download the App

Get the latest updates in the palm of your hands! Download the #BCTECH Summit event app at Set-up as a ‘first time user’ by entering your email from registration. By setting up the app you can connect directly with other attendees, plan out your two-day schedule and be part of all the live polling and discussion boards.

2. Pick-up your badge early and avoid the rush!

Don’t wait till March 14th to pick up your badge. Registration is open 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM Monday, March 13th. Save some trees – no need to print off your ticket. All we need is your name and photo ID. Pick-up is located inside the Burrard entrance at the Vancouver Convention Centre.  Come by Monday after work and stick around for #BCTECH on the Terrace on March 13th!

3. #BCTECH on the Terrace

Join us as we kick-off the 2017 #BCTECH Summit on the eve of the Summit. The party starts at 5:00 PM with #BCTECH on the Terrace and the lighting of the Olympic Cauldron at 5:30 PM. Enjoy bevvies, food, music and advance networking until 8:00 PM on the Terrace. The first 100 guests will receive a free hotdog compliments of Blackline Systems Inc.

Too early to turn in for the night? Sign up for the free screening of Generation Startup, a documentary following six entrepreneurs in Detroit.  It’s the first time the film is being screened in Canada! Or want to get up close to the stars of Dragons’ Den, Bruce Croxon and Manjit Minhas? Purchase your ticket to Igniting Investment for Business Growth. 4. Ways to Give Back and Feel Good at the #BCTECH Summit

We are proud to work with a number of socially-good organizations at this year’s #BCTECH Summit. Here are some ways you can help:

Goggles and Glasses!

Bring eyeglasses you can no longer use and support the Third World Eye Care Society Canada. There will be a bin to drop off your donation, located near Future Realities presented by Microsoft (Level 2).

Hard Drive Recycling

The Electronics Recycling Association will be on hand to take your old hard drives and securely recycle. You can drop off your recyclables near registration.

Traction4Good (T4G)

$10 from your registration will be donated back towards technology projects for two charities: Neil Squire Society and the First Nations Tech Council, ensuring First Nations communities across BC have access to internet and capacity to utilize technology.  Our thanks to our Gold Sponsor Traction on Demand for their in-kind support. Spare 30 seconds at badge pick-up and choose your charity of choice!

5. Food & Beverage

Yes and yes! Delegates will be provided with food and beverage during the networking lunch and networking reception. Two drink tickets per day are provided with your badge as part of your registration.

6. Test Drives

Want to see how an electric vehicle drives? Well, we’ve got options for you including a BMW I3 EV. Register early for your test drive at the Emotive Electric Vehicle Experience Booth located outside the South Foyer starting at 9:00 AM on March 14 & 15.
