#nvbc2017: BC’s brightest new startups battle for $300,000 in cash and prizes
Headquartered in the growing startup hub of Vancouver, the BCIC-New Ventures Competition officially launched its annual competition this March, following the buzz of the highly anticipated and sold-out #BCTECH Summit.
Now in its 17th year, the BCIC-New Ventures Competition, with title Sponsor the BC Innovation Council is awarding over $300,000 in cash and prizes to top-placing startups, aimed at helping them scale-up at a critical time in their trajectory.
“While the prizes are a huge draw, we’re more than just a contest,” comments New Ventures BC Program Director, Angie Schick. “The BCIC-New Ventures Competition offers a proven process, education, networking events, and dedicated mentorship teams. Aside from recognizing top talent, our goal is to help early-stage companies to refine their businesses and position themselves for success. No matter what stage you’re at, you can get a lot out of it.”
