Kailyn SkubanProgram Manager, BCIC Ignite
As Program Manager, Kailyn provides leadership and strategic guidance for the BCIC Ignite grant competition. She is responsible for the development and delivery of BCIC Ignite, undertaking ongoing review, evaluation and strategic communications with external partners, academic institutions, stakeholders, and the community.
Kailyn joined BCIC in 2015 as Programs Specialist with over eight years of experience in fund development, grant writing, and project coordination in the charitable sector including the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) and Science World BC. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Simon Fraser University with a specialization in Ecology and Evolution. A self-proclaimed geek, Kailyn yearns to one day to travel to space, always has a great podcast recommendation and can typically be found sharing excitement for science and technology with the community.
