Thank you for joining us at the 2017 #BCTECH Summit
Did you attend the second annual #BCTECH Summit on March 14 – 15 at the Vancouver Convention Centre? At this year’s event, we brought together 5,500 attendees to celebrate the innovation and collaboration happening in BC’s diverse tech sector and to explore the ways that technology can change how we work, live and play.
Highlights from the 2017 #BCTECH Summit
- Over 1,000 organizations were represented, with 262 BC companies, organizations and post-secondary institutions showcasing their innovation and research.
- At Youth Innovation Day on March 15th, more than 1,500 secondary and post-secondary students, along with teachers and chaperones explored career opportunities in tech. Participants heard from inspiring speakers, including retired Canadian Goalkeeper and UNICEF ambassador, Karina LeBlanc and Honourary IBM Cloud Advisor, YouTuber and Author, Tanmay Bakshi.
- In the Investment Showcase, 38 of BC’s brightest tech stars pitched to more than 180 local and international investors.
- 250 B2B meetings were scheduled to connect 109 BC tech firms and 39 tech buyers/scouts from private and public sectors.
